 NAZDAR VF192 Retarder Thinner for Nazdar VF Flat Vinyl Screen Ink

Most Nazdar screen inks can be modified with thinners, retarders, flattening paste, reducers, or clear bases. Before adding any of these products, please refer to the specific ink technical data sheet for additive proportion instructions.



 
SUBSTRATES Flexible vinyl and some vinyl coatings.

END USES Interior application: Excellent water and chemical resistance for shower curtains, vinyl banners, etc.


PRODUCT INFORMATION

VF Series inks are formulated to fuse with vinyl surfaces and can be used on both rigid and flexible vinyl plastic, as well as on some vinyl coatings. They have excellent opacity and fast drying qualities with good printability. VF Series will dry to a film which will be as flexible as the vinyl surface itself. All colors except VF111 Black may be heat sealed. VF121 Non Arcing Black is used for heat sealing.


APPLICATION INFORMATION

MESH
Monofilament 150 to 280 mesh.

STENCIL Photographic or water soluble hand cut film.

SQUEEGEE Sharp edge, 65-75 durometer blade.

COVERAGE 1000-1500 square feet per gallon.

PRINTING To improve flow or accelerate drying, reduce the ink with 10-15% by weight of VF190 Thinner or VF192 Retarder. Do not exceed recommended levels of reduction. Over reduction with retarders can result in blocking. Always mix well prior to each use.

DRYING By solvent evaporation. Air dry in 20 to 40 minutes. Jet dry in seconds

ADDITIVES

VF190 Thinner, VF192 Retarder, VF175 Vinyl Extender, which will not affect the viscosity

of the ink and is recommended for economy. VF178 Sharp Printing Compound to be added

for printing fine detail, halftones and on textured surfaces.
